The excitement was palpable as TechAlpha Hub continued its inspiring school tour with a visit to St. Theresa Secondary School, Edem Ekpat. Our mission to introduce young minds to the wonders of technology took another significant step forward, leaving an indelible mark on students and teachers alike.
A Day Filled with Tech Wonders
The students of St. Theresa Secondary School eagerly gathered in the assembly hall, their curiosity and anticipation filling the air. Ambassador Treasure Idem, a dynamic and passionate tech educator, took the stage with a mission: to spark a love for technology among these young minds.
Ambassador Idem began with an engaging talk on the immense benefits of acquiring tech skills. He shared inspiring stories of tech innovators from around the world, highlighting how technology has transformed lives and created countless opportunities. The students listened intently, their eyes lighting up with the possibilities that tech skills could bring to their futures.
Interactive Tech Demonstrations
To make the learning experience truly immersive, Ambassador Idem conducted live demonstrations of coding, web design, and copywriting. He showed the students how a few lines of code could bring a website to life, how web design can turn ideas into visually appealing online platforms, and how effective copywriting can communicate powerful messages.
The hands-on demonstrations were a hit! Students were invited to try their hand at simple coding tasks, design elements, and crafting compelling copy. The interactive session turned the assembly hall into a buzzing hub of creativity and learning. Students were not just passive listeners; they were active participants, eager to explore the new world being opened up to them.
TechAlpha: Highlight of the Day: Scholarship Award
The highlight of the day came when Ambassador Idem posed a question to the students: “What is coding?” Hands shot up across the hall, and after several enthusiastic responses, Four students stood out – Victoria Monday, Mirabel Chisom, Princess Clement and Success Aniekan, with confident and articulate answers to the questions asked, they answered in a way that impressed everyone present.
In recognition of his remarkable understanding and potential, they were awarded a scholarship by TechAlpha Hub. This scholarship will provide Them with comprehensive training in web development, web design with WordPress, and copywriting. The applause that followed was thunderous, echoing the support and pride of his peers.
TechAlpha: Inspiring the Next Generation
Amb Idem concluded the session by encouraging all students to consider registering for the upcoming Tech Bootcamp, scheduled for the August-long vacation. He explained that the bootcamp would offer an in-depth exploration of various tech disciplines, providing students with the skills and knowledge they need to excel in the digital age.
